ARTIFACT: Great 1890's Contoocook, New Hampshire fire badge for hose Company #1. The center of the badge features a ladder, helmet, hook, nozzle, and fire pot in nicely embossed details and surrounding it reads: "HOSE COMPANY 1 CONTOOCOOK, N. H. F. D." and the badge is topped with a spread wing eagle and slightly convex.

VINTAGE: Circa 1890's.

SIZE: Approximately 2" x 1".

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Stamped nickel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick pin with a "C" catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a firefighting and rescue collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VDEP14 LAFEX6/15 SAFEX12/19

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The badge shows moderate to heavy wear and oxidation, much of the plating and painted details remain.
