ARTIFACT: Gorgeous circa 1967 United States Navy Headquarters Support Activity Saigon pocket patch. This example was hand-embroidered in Viet Nam and the center shows a black anchor bearing a red, white, and blue US Shield against a background of yellow and reads: "YEM TRO Û£ 55 SUPPORT". The outer blue ring reads: "U.S. NAVY HEADQUARTERS SUPPORT ACTIVITY SAIGON" in yellow embroidered lettering. The patch was removed from a scrapbook and has stiffened as a result of the adhesive used.

VINTAGE: Circa 1967

SIZE: Approximately 4" x 3-5/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Hand-embroidered twill, cotton threads, gauze backing

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The patch shows minor wear, heavy scrapbook paper remnants and adhesive on reverse, colors remain bright, overall very fine condition.
