ARTIFACT: This is a German-made distinctive insignia for the United States Army 517th Artillery Battalion. The DI is a red and gold crest showing a lion rearing at top.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II era.

SIZE: 1-1/8" height and 5/8" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety-style pin with saddle.

MARKINGS: N/A.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. REX90 LCJX10/10

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent-): DI has light wear and moderate tarnish.
