ARTIFACT: This is a great reunion sign for the AVG’s Annual Reunion which was held in conjunction with the CNAC (China National Aviation Corporation) Reunion annually from the 1950’s through to last year (CNAC inclusion mostly 60’s-70’s). This particular sign dates from the 1964 reunion in Hong Kong, hence the Chinese Characters. It is a large painted plywood sign (1/8” thick) cut out in a Chinese motif. The Chinese characters at top read: 美國志願大隊協會: American Volunteer Group Association 第廿二週年紀念 : 22nd Anniversary.

Artifacts that belonged to members of the original Flying Tigers are extremely hard to acquire and rarely come up for sale. Often collectors lucky enough to acquire anything from the AVG will hold onto the pieces for their entire lifetime and families rarely let these artifacts go if they are lucky enough to still possess them. Don’t miss this chance to own a true piece of WWII Aviation History.
