ARTIFACT: Extremely scarce WWII Turkish Air Force Field Made Combat Crew / Air Force Member Badge. This example is gilt brass and hollow, two-piece construction. The badge is the shape of a soaring eagle with a crescent moon and star above. This appears to have been an unofficial badge used in the North African theater, and there is photographic evidence of its usage that exists 

VINTAGE: Circa WWII

SIZE: Approximately 3-1/4" in length x 1-7/8" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, hollow, two-piece construction.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal wire T pin with &C type catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Turkish militaria collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBEJX16 LFGEX9/16 SFJJX09/24

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The pilot badge shows minor to moderate wear, light spot of verdigris, much of the plating details remain, overall excellent condition.
