ARTIFACT:
This is an extremely rare World War II United States Army Air Forces air gunner wing Type 1. This substantial sterling silver wing is made by Luxenberg of New York. It has strongly defined diagonal detailing on the wings and a winged bomb at its center.
VINTAGE:
Circa World War II.
SIZE:
Approximately 15/16" in height and 3-1/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS:
Sterling silver.
ATTACHMENT:
Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:
Luxenberg STERLING New York.
