ARTIFACT: This is an extremely rare patch as it was only awarded to the Greek or Yugoslavian-speaking Americans that formed the 3rd Contingent of the US Operational Group (USOG). This was a field unit of the OSS performing insurgent operations behind German lines in Yugoslavia and Greece. This is a locally made patch.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: 3.25" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Black wool with yellow embroidery thread.

ATTACHMENT: N/A.

CONDITION: 6- (Fine): This is an excellent example despite the small flaws. Five total moth holes, three at upper left and two around anchor. Embroidery is solid and black wool is unfaded.
