ARTIFACT: Extremely rare circa 1901 Manila Metropolitan Police Force Sergeant badge. This Force was manned by United States Military volunteers after it was formed by the Taft Commission. The slightly convex, shield shaped badge reads: "METROPOLITAN POLICE SERGEANT MANILA" in nice raised block lettering and was locally made in silvered brass.

VINTAGE: Circa 1901

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/8" x 1-3/4"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Stamped, silvered brass

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal kick pin with "C" type catch

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a foreign police and law enforcement collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MBEX16 LABGEX10/16

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine—Excellent): The badge shows minor to moderate wear, some of the silver plating remains intact, overall very fine condition.
