ARTIFACT: Extremely rare 1937 University of California Flying Club flight jacket or flight suit patch. Members of the fraternity Alpha Eta Rho have begun to add flying clubs that are affiliated with each chapter and fraternity activities. The center of the blue patch features a golden yellow winged bear with a white belly who is wearing a halo and holding a pitchfork. Along the top of the patch it reads: "UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA FLYING CLUB" and the date: "1937" is displayed at the bottom.

VINTAGE: Circa 1937

SIZE: Approximately 4" x 4 ¼"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Embroidered, padded, wool felt, silk/polyester thread, wool felt backing

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn on.

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The patch shows mild to moderate storage/age wear and moth nips, overall fine condition with nice coloring.
