ARTIFACT:
Extremely rare 1909, pre-Prohibition Roseneck Brewing Co. Edelbrau advertising Mettlach mug. The front shows the brewery’s stamp, a star in the center of a circle that reads: “ROSENECK BREWING CO. RICHMOND, VA.” and in large hand-painted detail reads: “EDELBRAU UNEXCELLED IN THE BOTTLE”. The bottom has numerous markings: “METTLACH”, “MADE IN GERMANY”, “1909 V”, the mug is sold as it with rim and base chips (see photo).
