ARTIFACT: Extremely rare WWI United States Naval Officer Aiguillette for an aide to a Vice Admiral for Service Dress, also to assist the Secretary of the Navy. Three joined aiguillette cords, approximately 1/5 inch in diameter, with a cord of yellow cotton, covered with gilt plaited thread.

VINTAGE: Circa WWI

SIZE: Approximately 11 ½ from top of shoulder to bottom of aiguillette and 1" wide.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt plaited thread, cotton.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with come under catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a US Navy collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay CON-DMB-50-14 LDGEX12/14 SLCGEX8/16

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): Aiguillette is in excellent condition showing only some wear, the gilt thread details are bright.
