ARTIFACT: This is an Extremely Rare World War I United State Army Western Department Intelligence Service Badge, number C-702.
The badge is not maker marked, but the unique type of pin "saddle" on back points to Irvine & Jachens of San Francisco as the maker.

VINTAGE: World War I.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/8" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel plated nickel with painted letter.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety-style pin with saddle.

MARKINGS: N/A.
