ARTIFACT: Extremely rare handmade AVG-type Chinese Blood Chit circa early-mid 1942. This example is even more scarce in the smaller size and is in excellent, unsewn condition. This variation is as shown on page 25 of Robert E. Baldwin's "Behind Enemy Lines" Evasion and Escape Aids of World War II. The top half of the chit is a Chinese flag in multi-piece colored leather and beneath Chinese characters.

VINTAGE: Circa early-mid 1942

SIZE: Approximately 9-7/8" x 6-7/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Multi-piece hand-sewn leather, silk/cotton threads
