ARTIFACT: This is an extremely rare Ca 1944 - 45 SACO Sino-American Cooperative Organization Enameled Hat Badge OSS. The SACO Treaty signed by China and the United States in 1942 during the Second World War. It established a mutual intelligence gathering entity in China between the respective nations against Japan. It operated in China jointly along with the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), America's first intelligence agency and forerunner of the CIA while also serving as joint training program between the two nations. 

VINTAGE: Circa WWII.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/16" diameter

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silver plated enameled brass.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety-style pin.

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent+ ): The lapel pin shows minor wear, much of the enamel and gilt details remain intact, overall excellent condition.
