ARTIFACT: This is an Extremely Rare circa 1927 - 1932 Washington Highway Patrol Badge # 390 in unmarked Sterling Silver, which was later modified in 1933 to a Washington State Patrol Badge.

This badge was manufactured in unmarked sterling silver, with hard fired black enamel, sometime between 1927 and 1932. It originally read WASHINGTON HIGHWAY PATROL and in 1933, when the Department was Reorganized, a sterling silver Ring with the words STATE PATROL in hard fired enamel was added around the central seal. The badge was Probably used for at least a short while after 1933, but given the exceptional condition, it was not worn for too long.

The current badge today resembles this 90 year old badge, except that it is made in one piece, without the added ring.

VINTAGE: Circa 1927 - 1932.

SIZE: Approximately 2-5/8" in height x 2-3/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver, hard fired black enamel, Nickel findings with brass hinge pin.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with drop in locking catch.

MARKINGS: N/A.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a police and law enforcement badge collection that we will be listing more of over the next few months. TRVCEJM TRADCX22 LBBGEX01/28/23 SBBGEX02/08/23

CONDITION: 9- (Excellent+): The badge shows minor wear, and nice patina.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
