Autumn, when the war clouds of Japan and Russia are urgently announced. Based on the experience of the Nisshin War, our army, which is keenly aware of the need for a large cavalry unit in view of the trends in Unai, was formed into the 1st and 2nd cavalry brigades in 1902. Started My Cavalry 13th Regiment was founded in Okubo, Tsudanuma Town, Chiba Prefecture (currently Miyama, Funabashi City) in the southern corner of this local training Shinohara as a brother unit of the 1st Cavalry Brigade together with the 14th Cavalry Corps. December 19th Receive the military flag
At the beginning of the Russo-Japanese War in February 1897, the corps was revered as the father of Japanese cavalry, and the battle of Mukden, commanded by Yoshifuru Akiyama, was launched. Engaged with the world-famous Kosak cavalry in battles such as houses and sunk pits. Protecting the army's detour movement, laying the groundwork for a great victory for the entire army, and further advancing to the north of Mukden, approaching the side of the enemy's main force and causing the defeat of the Russo-Japanese army.
As soon as it fell and the Manchurian Incident broke out, it was dispatched in June 1945. In February of 1945, he was stationed in the Sea of Wuyuan and pursued education and training in preparation for the Sino-Japanese War. Active in the sweeping and the Sino-Japanese War in the northern region of the New Yellow River. Especially in the battle of Wuyuan in December 14th, he saved the emergency of the group headquarters and played an active role as the core of the 5th original operation over the 2nd year of 15th year. During this period, it was reorganized into an automobile organization as part of our cavalry mechanization measures, and in October 17th, with the establishment of the 3rd Tank Division, the 3rd Mobile Infantry along with the 14th Tank Division. Formed a division and repatriated the military flag. It did not close the glorious history of the cavalry armored corps for more than 40 years, but its shining tradition was inherited by the new division, especially in May 19th. Its success in the capture of Rakuyo, which was carried out on the Sino-Japanese War and is part of Operation Ichi-Go, should stop its name in Aoshi for a long time. Fortunately, it was established in this area after the war, and with the consent of Toho University to build a monument, we consulted with our comrades and volunteers to build a monument in the birthplace of the corps and engrave the outline of the history of the corps. Therefore, we will pass on that honor to posterity for a long time and comfort the spirits of our deceased comrades.
