ARTIFACT: This is an extremely rare circa 1920s-1930s United States Marine Corps souvenir pennant from Corinto, Nicaragua. The pennant is in purple felt and near the top has a beautifully colored leather panel showing an eagle, globe and anchor over a volcano. This souvenir dates to the "Banana Wars", when the USMC was aggressively involved in the affairs of Central America as well as the Caribbean following the Spanish American War.

VINTAGE: Circa 1920s-1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 35" in length and 11-1/2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Felt, leather.

ATTACHMENT: Ties.

MARKINGS: National Art Novelty Co. maker label.
