ARTIFACT: Extremely rare, circa 1915 – 1920 China, War Lords Period Chihli/Zhili Province Wu Pei Fu Qualification Award for Technical Superiority. The planchet is suspended from a silk ribbon that is red, yellow, blue, white, and black striped to resemble the Republic of China's flag. The front of the medal displays the bust of War Lord Wu Peifu and the reverse is enameled featuring two flags, one being the Republic of China and are surrounded by Chinese characters.

VINTAGE: Circa 1915 – 1920

SIZE: Approximately 3-3/4" x 2"; Planchet: approx. 2" in diameter

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated silver, paint, enamel, silk ribbon

ATTACHMENT: Hook and loop

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The medal shows moderate wear, areas of enamel loss on reverse, light soiling, much of the plated details remain intact, overall very fine condition.
