ARTIFACT:
This is a gorgeous WWI M1914 Imperial Prussian Army Observer Badge, manufactured circa 1917. This badge, produced by the "Tiffany" of Germany: Godet, was made of later war silver plated tombak. The pin bears the non-silver Godet Maltese Cross marking, and has beautiful riveted construction.
This badge is in exquisite condition, and would be hard to upgrade from, with seemingly 99% of its original plating intact, sporting a lovely moderate patina. The badge shows almost no wear.
This badge is among 4 of our current offerings that were chosen by OVMS to be on the back cover of this year's MAX program.
