ARTIFACT: This is a circa late 1930s or early World War II United States Engineer Department, New York District identification badge. The oval badge is numbered and was made by A.E. Company of Utica, New York. It has the Army Corps of Engineers' "Corps Castle" at its center in relief.

VINTAGE: Circa late 1930s-early World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/2" in height and 2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Copper/copper-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin on bar with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: 1502 on front; PAT. pending number on bar, A.E. Co. UTICA N.Y. in triangle maker mark.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an Army Corps of Engineers collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay MDX12 LHEX1/14

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine): The badge has some light to medium wear and tarnish.
