ARTIFACT: This is an early World War II distinctive insignia for the United States Army 179th Infantry Regiment, 45th Infantry Division. The DI is by N.S. Meyer Company of New York. The DI reads IN OMNIA PARATUS (In all things prepared) and shows the profile of a Native American man presiding over war weapons.

VINTAGE: Circa early World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/4" in height and 3/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel on brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: N.S. Meyer New York, Meyer shield maker mark.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a WWII United States Army distinctive insignia collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months MEX14 LFEX5/14

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The DI has some small areas of light to medium wear and minor tarnish; some of the enameled lettering is missing.
