ARTIFACT:
Early WWI Prussian Artillery Enlisted Picklehaube M1895 (spiked helmet) with original owner's initials and unit markings. The helmet is hardened black leather with reinforced with brass trim, helmet plate, and spike at the crown. The brass ornamental plate features an eagle facing the viewer's left with wings spread and reads: "MIT – GOTT- FUR – KOENIG – UND – VATERLAND" with the letters "FR" in the center of the eagle's breast. The underside of the front brim shows the original owner's initials and the underside of the rear brim shows the unit markings (See photos).

7 (Very Fine): Mild to moderate wear, chin strap and cockades are missing, the leather and brass are in very fine to excellent condition.
