ARTIFACT: This is a great circa early or mid-1930s United States Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer hat badge. The badge was made by N.S. Meyer of New York in nickel and Meyer Metal, a proprietary metallic mix of theirs that is very resistant to tarnishing.

VINTAGE: Circa early to mid-1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-11/16" in height and 1" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel, Meyer metal.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with tongue-style catch.

MARKINGS: MEYER METAL and Meyer shield maker mark.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a 1930s United States Coast Guard hat badge collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MBEV13 LADEX4/14 SADEX10/15

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The badge has some light wear.
