ARTIFACT: This is an early United States Army Air Forces pilot qualification badge for the F-86 Sabre jet fighter in the shape of that aircraft. The F-86 began flying in 1947, and was retired in 1980.<

VINTAGE: Circa late 1940s.

SIZE: 3/4" height and 1" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: STERLING SILVER.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VAJX98 LIEX 6/10

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): Pin shows some spots of medium abrasion and tarnish.
