ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1940 five years of service pin for Bell Aircraft by Metal Arts Company of Rochester, New York. A prolific aircraft manufacturer, Bell became most known for producing the first supersonic aircraft, the Bell X-1. The pin is gold-filled and enameled in blue.

VINTAGE: Circa 1940.

SIZE: Approximately 1/2" in height and 5/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold filled, enameled areas.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with disc backing.

MARKINGS: METAL ARTS CO. ROCH. N.Y. 1/10 10K G.F.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an aviation company collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MABX11 LHEX12/11 SHEX8/13

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The pin has some light wear and tarnishing, mostly on the reverse.
