ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1910s enameled badge for the steamship Patricia of the Hamburg America Lines, a transatlantic German shipping company established in 1847. The company's full name, in German, is Hamburg Amerikanische Paketfahrt Aktien-Gesellschaft (HAPAG). The ship Patricia ran for the company from 1899 until she became a United States Naval transport vessel in 1920. The badge is a red enameled ship's wheel with the company's blue and yellow pennant at center.

VINTAGE: Circa 1910s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-5/16" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Enameled brass.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal T-style pin with C catch.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The pin has light wear and one or two small dings.
