ARTIFACT: This is an Old Brass Mining Tag From Inspiration, Arizona now Part of Miami, Arizona.

The rich Inspiration copper mine opened in 1911. Inspiration had its start as a copper-mining settlement. According to tradition, the area was so named when a local prospector dreamed of finding a mine, and his dream came true. A post office called Inspiration was established in 1917, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1983.

VINTAGE: 1910's - 1920's.

SIZE: Approximately 1-5/8" in height x 1-3/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Stamped brass.

ATTACHMENT: Hole at top.

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine- ): The tag shows moderate wear and nice patina, overall very fine condition.
