ARTIFACT: This is a circa early 1970s jacket patch for the United States Air Force 13th Tactical Fighter Squadron. The patch was worn at Udorn Royal Thai AFB during the Vietnam War, around the time the unit received its adult mascot, a panther named Eldridge. He was flown to Udorn from Laos by an Air America pilot and given to the Phoenix Zoo after the war. It bears the head of a fierce black panther at center.

VINTAGE: Circa early 1970s.

SIZE: Approximately 3-1/2" in height and 2-7/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Fully embroidered in cotton/silk/polyester threads.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.
