ARTIFACT: This is a circa early 1970s jacket patch for the United States Navy Attack Squadron 35 (ATKRON 35). The 35th was commissioned on July 1, 1934 and was the Navy's oldest attack squadron when it was decommissioned in 1995. Also known as the "Black Panthers", the squadron started flying Grumman A-6 Intruders in 1965. The patch is Japanese-made.

VINTAGE: Circa early 1970s.

SIZE: Approximately 4" in height and 4-3/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Fully embroidered in cotton/polyester/silk threads, vinylized backing.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The patch shows very little wear.
