ARTIFACT: Early 1970's Army Security Agency (ASA) 330th Radio Research Field Station Detachment 8 pocket patch. This example was made in Saigon and shows a white circle with a black number "8" in the center and four frequency waves and reads: "DET" in red embroidered lettering above. The outer edge of the patch reads: "330th RRFS PLEIKU". The 330th was deployed in 1966 and was stationed in Pleiku, Vietnam.

VINTAGE: Circa early 1970's

SIZE: Approximately 3-3/4" x 4"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Embroidered twill, silk/polyester/cotton threads, cotton backing

ITEM NOTES: This is from a US Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MAX16 LACEX9/16

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine&emdash;Excellent): The patch shows minor to moderate wear, a small spot of soiling (does not detract), colors remain bright, was removed from clothing, overall very fine condition.
