ARTIFACT: This is a flight crew hat badge in sage velvet and gold bullion threads for Air Mali, which began operation in 1960. The badge shows a wreath of leaf fronds with what seems to be a salamander-like figure at center.

VINTAGE: Circa early 1960s.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/8" in height and 2-1/4" in width and 7/16" in depth.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Velvet, cotton backing, filling, bullion threads.
