ARTIFACT: This is a circa late 1950s United States Navy USS Harder SS-568 submarine jacket patch. The patch is crest-shaped and shows an armed cigarette-smoking fish with a sailor's hat and missile and reads HIT 'EM HARDER SS 257 SS 568 HIT EM AGAIN HARDER.

VINTAGE: Circa late 1950s.

SIZE: About 3-5/8" in height and 3" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Fully-embroidered patch in multi-colored silk/cotton threads.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.
