ARTIFACT:
Cool, late Cold War United States Army 4th Howitzer Battalion, 18th Field Artillery, USAREUR commemorative German lithophane stein named to Staff Sergeant Russel L. Wallace. The lidded stein features the BN's coat of arms, a blue, white, and gold shield showing a corner of red with a fish hook and star emblem (lineage to the 5th Field Artillery) and above the shield a banner reads: "4th HOWITZER BATTALION 18th ARTILLERY" and along the base: "SSgt. RUSSEL L. WALLACE 1963 - 1966". The lid of the stein shows field artillery and is nicely embellished and the inside of the stein features a lithophane of a naked woman.
