ARTIFACT: This is a cool M. E. Bernhardt (MEB) Co. Diplomat leather wrapped lift-arm lighter. It was manufactured by Eisenstadt Manufacturing Co. of St. Louis, Missouri for M.E. Bernhardt. This style of lighter is known as a lift arm, and it opens so the flint can be struck and light the wick. The arm itself has a snuffer to put out the flame.

VINTAGE: Circa 1920's

SIZE: Appr: 2" x 1-1/2" x 1/2

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Leather, Nickel plated brass

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): There is some wear and tarnish. The lift arm is very functional and the screw on the bottom are in very fine shape
