ARTIFACT: This is a circa World War I United States military police badge from Rock Island Arsenal. Now a national historic landmark, Rock Island Arsenal on the Mississippi River between Iowa and Illinois is America's largest government-owned manufacturer of weaponry. The badge reads ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL 138 POLICE and shows an eagle at top.

VINTAGE: Circa World War I.

SIZE: 2-1/2" height and 1-3/4" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass with painted letters.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: ???CER.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a military police badge collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VACJX04 LAGEX4/10 SAGEX1/13

CONDITION: 5+ (Fine-): Badge shows heavy wear and moderate corrosion, and all parts of the painted letters have worn away.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
