ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1920 or early 1920s United States Marine Corps officer dress EGA cap badge in "The Beast" variation. This eagle, globe and anchor is reportedly by Gemsco, although it has no maker mark. The continents on the globe are very raised and the rope makes a nice wide loop out around the anchor.

VINTAGE: Circa WWI or early 1920's.

SIZE: Approximately 1-9/16" in height and 1-13/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silver-plated and gilt brass.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with disc backing.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Marine Corps collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MCJJX13 LACEJ3/13 SABJJX10/18

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The EGA shows areas of light wear and small areas of tarnish, some minor oxidation inside reverse of globe.
