ARTIFACT: This is a circa World War I to early 1920s leather flight or motorcyclist's helmet. The helmet has some unusual fleece lining and what appears to be a period repair to the chin strap buckle. The leather is still very pliable.

VINTAGE: Circa World War I - early 1920s.

SIZE: No size tag: when the helmet is lying flat on its side the main part of the helmet measures about 10" high by 11" in width (not including strap).

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Leather, fleece, metal buckle.

ATTACHMENT: Strap, buckle.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a civil aviation collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Ebay CON-DB-25-13 LCGEX8/13

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The helmet has some light to medium wear and what appears to be a period repair to the chin strap buckle.
