ARTIFACT: This is a circa post-World War II through 1948 jacket patch for the United States Navy VP-45 patrol squadron. The patch shows a pelican with two bombs under his wings zeroing in on a submarine periscope.

VINTAGE: Circa post-World War II through 1948.

SIZE: Approximately 4-1/14" in diameter (patch is not 100% round but nearly so).

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Twill embroidered in cotton/silk threads.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Navy collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MCJX95 LFHX1/12

CONDITION: 5+ (Fine-): The patch shows some light to medium wear and is missing a piece of its border (about ¼ of its circumference).
