This is a circa post-World War II through 1948 jacket patch for the United States Navy VP-45 patrol squadron. The patch shows a pelican with two bombs under his wings zeroing in on a submarine periscope.
VINTAGE:Circa post-World War II through 1948.
SIZE:Approximately 4-1/14" in diameter (patch is not 100% round but nearly so).
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Twill embroidered in cotton/silk threads.
ATTACHMENT:None.

CONDITION:5+ (Fine-): The patch shows some light to medium wear and is missing a piece of its border (about ¼ of its circumference).
