ARTIFACT: This is a 1972-1974 jacket patch for the United States Coast Guard Cutter Southwind, a Wind-class ice breaker. The Southwind was launched on March 8, 1943. The patch reads MILWAUKEE AND THE WORLD

VINTAGE: Circa 1972-1974.

SIZE: About 4-7/8" in width by 5-7/8" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Cotton/poly/silk embroidery thread on twill.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto garment.

MARKINGS: None.
