ARTIFACT: Circa 1971 United States Navy Beach Jumper Unit 1, Team 13 pocket patch made in Saigon. The center of the patch shows a red, embroidered number "1" behind a mask and surrounding it reads: "BEACH JUMPER UNIT USN TEAM 13". The Beach Jumpers engaged in electronic warfare, PSYOPS or psychological warfare, tactical cover, and deception. The Beach Jumpers employed the USS Iwo Jima and USS Tripoli as naval platforms for operations.

VINTAGE: Circa 1971

SIZE: Approximately 3-5/8" x 3-1/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Embroidered nylon canvas, cotton/silk/polyester threads, muslin backing
