ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1970 pilot hat badge for Texas International Airways (TIA). TIA flew from 1969 until 1982 when it merged with Continental. It was known before 1969 as Trans-Texas Airways. The badge is in sterling silver by Balfour.

VINTAGE: Circa 1970.

SIZE: Approximately 2" in height and 2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post.

MARKINGS: B(alfour) mark, STER.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an airline collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VEJX12 LBGEX8/12

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The badge shows light wear and has an overall tarnish.
