ARTIFACT:

This is a circa 1968 pilot hat badge by Balfour for Air West. Three companies merged in early 1968 to form Air West, and two years later it became Hughes Airwest thanks to Howard Hughes. The badge is in rhodium-plated sterling silver.
Code: airmw60001pa, airmw60001pah airmw60002awp,  All of these Badges Came together and probably Represent one Pilot Career.

VINTAGE: Circa 1968.

SIZE: Approximately 2" in height x 3-1/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Rhodium-plated sterling silver.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with disk backing.

MARKINGS: Balfour mark, STERLING.

CONDITION:  8 (Excellent-): The wing shows little wear.
