ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1960s United States Air Force 4028th Strategic Reconnaissance Squadron (aka 4028th Strategic Reconnaissance Weather Squadron) jacket patch. The 4028th had a history of spy plane operation and pilots from this squadron were involved in the Cuban Missile Crisis. The 4028th also later served in Japan and Vietnam. The patch is fully embroidered and shows a golden serpentine dragon at center.

VINTAGE: Circa 1960s.

SIZE: Approximately 4-1/4" in height and 3-5/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Fully embroidered in cotton/polyester threads.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto Flight Clothing.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The patch has some light to medium wear.
