ARTIFACT: This is a rare circa 1960s pilot hat badge for British European Airways (BEA), which flew from 1946 through 1974. The badge's velvet center reads "BEA" and is wreathed in silver bullion threads.

VINTAGE: Circa 1960's.

SIZE: Approximately 2-7/16" in height x 2-11/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wool felt with bullion embroidery, velvet, cloth backing.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto a visor hat.

MARKINGS: None.
