ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1950s sterling silver employee lapel pin for twenty-five years of service with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), an entity created during the Civil War. The badge shows a small eagle at the top and has enameled details.

VINTAGE: Circa 1950s.

SIZE: Approximately 9/16" in height and 1/2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: STERLING HLP(?).

ITEM NOTES: This is from a US Department of Agriculture collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAM14 LCHX6/14 SCHX09/17/19

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The pin has very light wear.
