ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1950s lapel pin for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) by O. C. tanner of Salt Lake City, Utah. The association formed in 1939 in Frederick, Maryland and is still in existence. This pin is by Balfour and would have been worn by a senior member of AOPA.

VINTAGE: Circa 1950s.

SIZE: Approximately 1/4" in height and 9/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with disc backing.

MARKINGS: O. C. TANNER CO. SALT LAKE CITY on backing.

ITEM NOTES: The pin you receive will either be the one pictured or one in very similar condition. This is from a civil aviation collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJL94 LBIX7/12

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The pin shows some light wear.
