ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1950s lapel pin for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). The association formed in 1939 in Frederick, Maryland and is still in existence. The pin is by O. C. Tanner of Salt Lake City, Utah.

VINTAGE: Circa 1950s.

SIZE: Approximately 3/16" in height and 13/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post.

MARKINGS: O.C. TANNER CO. SALT LAKE CITY on backing.

ITEM NOTES: The pin you receive will either be the one pictured or one in very similar condition. This is from a civil aviation collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. RAL94 LBIX7/12

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The pin shows light wear.
