ARTIFACT: This is a distinctive insignia for the United States Army ROTC program at Marshall University in West Virginia. The DI is a showing a green buffalo head and reads DOCTUS ET DUCTOR (and led by the wise). It was made by N.S. Meyer Incorporated of New York

VINTAGE: Circa 1950's - 1960's.

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/16" in height x 1-3/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Chrome plated brass with greens enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Two clutchback posts.

MARKINGS: N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK and raised shield maker's mark.
