ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1942 United States Army distinctive insignia for the 456th Parachute Field Artillery Battalion by Meyer. The DI reads WE LEAD THE WAY and shows a white parachute with a cannon logo descending with a missile against a nicely enameled field of red.

VINTAGE: Circa 1942.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 15/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: N.S. MEYER INC. N.Y.C. with Meyer maker's mark.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAEX10 LDFJX2/11

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The insignia has some light wear and tarnish only.
