ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful circa 1940 gold-filled Northwest Airlines flight attendant wing 1st Issue by Josten. Northwest had begun in 1926 as Northwest Airways but changed its name in 1933 to be allowed to carry air mail. The wing is nicely detailed and there is a red, white and blue bull's-eye design at center.

VINTAGE: Circa 1940.

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/8" height and 1-7/8" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-filled with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: JOSTEN 1/15 10K GF.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an airlines collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VFEX12 LCFJX11/10 SLEIEX7/12

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The wing shows some very light wear and tarnish.
